Eggs

This one is among the oldest ways to conquer the difficulties of having damage hair. But how do every day eggs relate to hair? It’s a known fact that eggs pack a heavy punch when it comes to nutrients such as protein. It as well has lecithin, both are important in maintaining a healthy hair. This simply makes it a perfect nutrition supplement for your damaged hair. And to get the most out of those eggs is quite easy.

With an egg, break it open and whip the egg white very thoroughly. Do this along with around two tablespoons of lukewarm water, this is important so you can achieve a nice mixture. After which all you need to do is to apply it over your damp hair. Massage it well using your fingertips for at least 15 minutes. This will hasten the absorption process. Rinse your hair with your favorite shampoo using regular water, neither cold nor hot is needed in this one. Repeat this process this twice a week to reach your goal. An alternative for this is to mix together three eggs, two tablespoons olive oil and a tablespoon of honey. Mix the ingredients thoroughly and apply this mixture to your damp hair by means of massaging. After that you need to cover your head using a shower cap. Leave it there for about 30 minutes and wash it off. This option is more expensive due to the addition of honey but you only have to do this once a week to gain the benefits.

Avocado

Just like your body, proper nutrition plays a huge part in achieving a healthy hair. Thus, it’s not a surprise that avocado works wonders. Those saturated fats found in this fruit together with vitamins A and E, some protein and variety of important minerals are very important for hair damage repair. Also good to note, avocado also plays a good part in keeping the hair shafts moisturized thus strengthening your hair.

You need one ripe fruit for this. Peel it and mash into a nice paste. After that you need to mix one teaspoon of both wheat-germ oil and jojoba oil. Apply this mixture after you washed hair. Make sure to evenly apply from the roots till the ends. You need to cover your hair using a shower cap. Let it sit for half an hour.  Wash your hair using with lukewarm water with your shampoo. Do this once to twice a week depending on the damage you see.

Mayonnaise

This is yet another kitchen ingredient that can revive your hair. What makes mayonnaise an excellent ingredient for repairing dry hair and damaged hair is the fact it contains various elements like egg yolk and oils. These can help rejuvenate your hair and make it soft and shiny again.

Simply set aside one cup of full-fat mayonnaise. Then all you need to do is to apply a thick layer of mayo over your damp hair. Massage it thoroughly ensuring it can reach every hair strand and your scalp. Leave it on for about an hour while covering your head with a shower cap. Then you have to rinse your hair with lukewarm water. Shampoo it as you would. Do this once a week to maintain that healthy looks.

Coconut oil

We all know that coconut have natural wonders when it comes to healing. Coconut oil is among the most important ingredient you can grab to remedy your failing hair. But more importantly, make sure you only use virgin coconut oil (VCO) as much as possible. The reason for this is that VCO does not undergo the process of heating which is normally done when extracting coconut oil. This ensures that all the essential components are still intact thus ensuring good results.

All you need is around two to three tablespoon of oil, depending on your hair length or volume. Massage it directly over your scalp for about five minutes. Warm coconut oil is preferred as to ensure that all the essential nutrients are well distributed; coco oil tends to become cloudy under colder temperatures. Do this for at least 3 times each week. Leaving it on overnight is preferred if you can take it. Otherwise, an hour will do the trick but would take more days to achieve the desired results. After that, wash your hair as you would.

Aloe Vera

This herb is a good moisturizer. It packs important nutrients that are deemed essential not just for your hair but also for your scalp’s health as well.  It soothes each hair shaft rendering an in-depth hair damage repair.

For this process, only use a fresh leaf. Cut it and take out the gel. Now all you need to do is to apply the Aloe Vera gel directly on your hair. Leave it there for around 10 to 15 minutes. Wash it off as usual using warm water. An alternative for this is to mix 4 tablespoons of Aloe Vera gel, 2 tablespoons of coconut oil and 3 tablespoons of yogurt. Keep stirring the mixture until it is mixed well. Apply it on your hair and leave it on for least 30 minutes. Rinse your hair with a mild shampoo to make sure you won’t be stripping the nutrients further. Do these steps at least once a week to bring back life into your crowning glory.
